We strive to be good corporate citizens and conduct our business in a way that meets the expectations of all our stakeholders, and has a positive impact on the environment around us and society as a whole.
We are guided in all that we do by our CSR Policy which adheres us to the following principles:
Agenor's Corporate Sustainability is assessed annually by EcoVadis. Following our latest assessment we have been awarded a Silver EcoVadis Medal, with a score of 68/100. This now places Agenor in the top 15% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis, demonstrating that we are performing well in all the sustainability areas measured - The Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
Tens of thousands of companies now partner with EcoVadis to collaborate on sustainability. This award serves as evidence of Agenor's ongoing commitment to conducting operations in an exceptionally sustainable manner. It also offers our clients the assurance of independent validation, affirming our status as a very reliable partner within their supply chain.
Transparency about our CSR activities is important for engaging stakeholders and promoting change. To find out more about our CSR plans, policies and activities, please click on the images below:
To help us deliver on our CSR commitments, we also partner with some external organisations who share our objectives, offering our support wherever and however we can for the great work they are doing in our local communities:
As a Carer Positive Employer, we provide support to our charity partner Voice of Carers Across Lothian (VOCAL), helping them in areas such as communication, IT support, fundraising and sponsorship. This allows them to focus on what they do what they do best - providing vital services and support to carers across Edinburgh and Midlothian, whose important work is often unpaid and goes largely unnoticed.
Partnering with The Edinburgh Remakery helps us sustain our commitment to minimising waste and reducing our impact on the environment. They are an environmental social enterprise who offer an environmentally friendly means for us to dispose of unwanted IT equipment and computers. Any IT equipment they receive, they repair and refurbish 95%, selling them on at affordable prices as well as gifting a proportion to vulnerable groups, other charities and social enterprises.
Several members of our team are also proud volunteers with the Scottish Tech Army. In donating their time and expertise to this volunteer technical response team they help the Scottish Government, Local Authorities, and other organisations across the country with rapid technical development projects to address Covid-19 related challenges and support the post pandemic economic recovery across Scotland.
One of our CSR objectives is to play a positive role in society, encouraging employee volunteering and fundraising for Charity and Community Projects. As a result, our people regularly volunteer to help the Scottish Ambulance Service, providing ambulance crews with teas, coffee, snacks and moral support while they are waiting at A&E for their patients to be admitted.
