A major UK financial organisation initiated several projects to upgrade critical software across its mainframe and middleware infrastructures. These infrastructures are key to the day to day business of the organisation as they support critical services and applications. The delivery of these projects resulted in the latest software version being rolled out across all test environments and production environments thus successfully aligning the software versions used to the latest Vendor Support agreements.

The mainframe and middleware infrastructures are critical to the day to day operations of the organisation. Failure of software supporting these infrastructures would cause severe reputational and financial impacts for the organisation. To prevent impacts on the stability, resilience and day to day operations it is critical that the latest software versions are used and aligned to the latest vendor support agreements. Agenor Testing Services was the preferred supplier to deliver regression testing across several platforms, applications and test environments to ensure that the stability resilience and day to day operations were not impacted by the upgrade to the latest software versions.
For each project upgrade a total of 40 applications were impacted of which 23 Applications were critical to the day to day business activities of the organisation. Total of 14 distributed systems and 3 test environments impacted each time a project delivers a software upgrade.
