Posted by Pooja Kirti on May 16, 2016

Agenor Technology a cloud-based software solution provider based in Scotland, announced today that it has been named a "Cool Vendor" based on the April 26, 2016 report titled, "Cool Vendors in DevOps, 2016."

Every year Gartner publishes research to evaluate interesting, new and innovative vendors, products and services and publishes a Cool Vendor report. According to Gartner "DevOps projects continue to grow in size, scale and importance, and new tools support these initiatives."

Andy Smith, CEO of Agenor Technology, said: "We are honoured and delighted to be recognised by Gartner. We consider our inclusion in Gartner’s Cool Vendors 2016 report as an acknowledgement of the company’s emphasis on ensuring successful deployment management while continuing our commitment to our clients and customers. Watching our business grow is extremely rewarding!"

Agenor Technology’s ICEFLO is a cloud-based platform that reduces the risk and costs associated with complex technology cutovers such as key system upgrades and business continuity events. It's features enables staff, partners and service providers to collaborate effectively to achieve better outcomes. It replaces the spreadsheet, emails, instant messages, conference calls and project management "war rooms," typically used to coordinate activities in these critical periods.

A technology cutover is the process of transitioning from one system to a new system. It specifically refers to switching from an old system (hardware, software, platform, service or solution) to a replacement system. Often known as 'going live' the cutover is the point at which a new system takes over, and the old system is no longer used.

Customers using ICEFLO for the deployment of any large scale technology deployment / business change have experienced the following key benefits:

  • Planning: enables sophisticated plans to be efficiently constructed, rehearsed and refined to deliver increased confidence in the quality of the plan
  • Cutover: enables orchestration of activity during the actual event, with integrated issue management, automated communications and real-time status visualisation
  • Review: captures a detailed audit trail for review after the event, offering powerful and factual evidence for Audit, Risk and Compliance purposes
